THANK YOU to everyone who attended the 2025 Latte Art Smackdown, the Leaf Café & Co latte art competition. This year saw our biggest turnout yet in both participants and spectators. We welcomed 32 baristas from Leaf Café and the local coffee community to showcase their skills in this year’s competition.
In a competition of six unique rounds, 32 baristas went head-to-head for the top spot. Our pool of talent came from across our cafés and local baristas who were courageous enough to step up and compete.
Our talented participants battled it out in the first two elimination rounds with The Alternative Dairy Co. spinning wheel to determine the pattern and milk they’d need to create their latte art.
The third elimination round put baristas to the alternative dairy test, as they were allowed to use only almond or oat milk to show off their best latte art. The art wasn’t the only thing we were looking at this year – our fourth round saw finalists judged not only on presentation, but also on the skill of the pour.
This year’s Latte Art Smackdown reached new heights not only in turnout, but in talent, as competing baristas brought their best work to the table and stunned both judges and spectators.
